Urban Drama Mood Board

This mood board is meant to be a visual representation of the urban drama genre and to show aspects that we find inspiring and will probably use in our piece. When creating this mood board, I tried to take features from costume ideas such as 'hoodies', urban tower block settings, images of themes that could be used such as vandalism, gang violence, general violence, drug abuse and poverty. I have also tried to use this to find colour scheme ideas for our website and film poster, I have found that it might be most effective with the use of a dull grey/black/white theme but with a pop of colour, this could be shown through graffiti or large bright typography, but I feel that by adding colour will give it a really bold and powerful effect, which is important when creating this intimidating film. I have also looked into typography and have come up with some sample ideas, another option would be to use the concept of newspaper headlines within our typography. This would be appropriate as a lot of the time antisocial urban news makes headlines, so this could be an effective idea for our piece.
